ONE company that has benefited from Business Link North West’s expertise since our We’re Backing Business campaign was launched is Groundwork Pennine Lancashire.
The ‘social enterprise’, based in Bolton Road, Blackburn, works across East Lancashire to help businesses become more eco-friendly, promote healthier lifestyles and teach children about the environment.
Bosses at the organation worked with Business Link’s partnership manager Khalid Saifullah to improve efficiency.
Amanda Payne, Groundwork’s communications manager, said: “The thing that stood out was that we were not really maximising sales opportunities or cross-selling but simply providing the service the client had originally requested.
“We decided that investing in training would help address this and started looking around for a provider.”
Since then, 15 Groundwork managers have been trained, ensuring a “significant impact” on result, according to Miss Payne.
