UB40 are to play a show in Blackburn for the first time.

The Birmingham-based reggae legends have announced a date at King George's Hall on Saturday, October 29.

The band - featuring brothers Robin and Duncan Campbell, Earl Falconer and Brian Travers - have sold millions of albums around the world.

In 2008 founder member and lead singer Ali Campbell left the group to set up his own band, also called UB40, which currently features original members Astro and Mikey Virtue.

Duncan Campbell was brought in to replace his brother Ali as lead vocalist with the band which is heading to East Lancashire.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, May 13 from 0844 847 1664.
