Born Laura Hollins, the 32-year-old has appeared in four films previously but these new films mark the first time she has rubbed shoulders with Hollywood’s brightest stars.

The former Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School student will play a character call ‘Allegra’ in ‘Hail, Caesar!’ which is due to be released in February.

Details about her character in the comedy drama about a Hollywood fixer in the 1950s who works to keep studio stars in line have been kept under wraps.

She will star alongside the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Josh Brolin, George Clooney and Ralph Fiennes.

Agyness, who used to work in a fish and chip shop in Stubbins, will then star as ‘Janet’ in ‘Patient Zero’ alongside Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer, former Dr Who Matt Smith as well as The Hunger Games’ Stanley Tucci.

The horror film, which centres on a global pandemic of a super strain of rabies, which causes a new species to mutate with a particular drive for violence, is due to release in the UK in September next year.

‘The White King’ will see her play a character called ‘Hannah’ opposite lead actor Jonathan Price who plays Colonel Fitz in the sci-fi drama.

Based on György Dragomán’s novel the film will follow a precocious 12-year-old coming to grips with his father’s abduction.

Deyn will play the boy’s mother who must navigate a world of propaganda, abuse and gangs in order to reunite her family.

Last year Agyness was praised after taking the lead role in ‘Electricity’ where she played Lily O’Connor.
