A BURGLAR whose break-in ‘went viral’ has been jailed for three years at Burnley Crown Court.
Robert Haliwell was caught on CCTV looking around the outside of a home in Lane End Road, Bacup.
He later went inside and took a gold chain worth £3,000, after climbing in through a forced window.

And when he appeared before a crown court the 40-year-old, of no fixed address, admitted burglary.
The gold chain was never found and is thought to have been sold on by Haliwell.
Speaking after the case, Pc Lee Burdis said: “This burglary generated a huge amount of interest on social media and we are grateful for those who shared the footage and came forward identifying Halliwell.”
