CAR OWNERS in Hyndburn are being warned about a recent spike in overnight thefts from motor vehicles.
This comes after police discovered evidence of thieves targeting unlocked parked vehicles in the Baxenden area and taking wallets, money and other valuables that have been left overnight.
Officers are increasing patrols in the area in response.
A police spokesperson said: "Please check that you have locked your vehicle and remove any items of value before leaving it.
"We will update you once arrests have been made
"The Hyndburn Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to thank the community for their continued support."
