Enquiries are being made after a teenager spat in the face of a train guard.
On Tuesday evening, four youths were caught travelling on a train without tickets.
The group were told to leave the train once it arrived at Huncoat.
As the guard was dealing with the youths, one of them spat in his face.
Fortunately the guard was able to use a spit kit to gather DNA for the British Transport Police who are now carrying out some investigations into the incident.
A BTP spokesperson said on Wednesday: "Yesterday evening a guard spoke with four youths on his train who were travelling without tickets.
"The group were told to leave the service at Huncoat station.
"One of the youths then spat in his face.
"The guard used his ‘spit kit’ to obtain the suspects DNA for us.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
