A new school for a new school year, this photo shows Lammack High School in Blackburn in September, 1967.
The school had been opened to meet the demand for places in the area due to the large numbers of homes which had been built.
Within a year it would find itself back in the news for all the wrong reasons - three arson attacks in less than a month would force it to close for repairs to be carried out.
