TRIALS rider Jack Spencer had a day to forget when he contested round four of the British Championship.
The 23-year-old from Bacup crashed heavily on one of the opening sections, injuring his leg and finishing down in 49th place at the end of the first lap.
Spencer, who rides a Beta 250, recovered to finish 14th at the end of the event, held in East Ayrshire.
“It wasn’t a great weekend,” admitted Spencer.
“The crash put paid to any chance of a decent result, but on the plus side, I still managed to get a couple of championship points.”
Spencer’s next outing is round five of the British series, the St David’s Trial, organised by Neath MC.
