CLITHEROE commence their FA Cup campaign tomorrow when they host Seaham Red Star in the preliminary round.

Simon Garner’s side go into the game against Durham opposition sat 13th in the Evo-Stik First Division North table after taking four points from their opening four games of the new league season.

Seaham play in Northern League Division Two and overcame Liversedge in the extra preliminary round to reach this stage.

The winners of the tie will travel to Garforth or Harrogate Railway in the first qualifying round on September 13.

Padiham also enter the cup at the preliminary round stage tomorrow as they entertain Shildon.

The Storks have had a difficult start to their Evo-Stik First Division North campaign, losing three of their opening four games to sit third bottom of the table.

Shildon are also based in Durham and play in Northern League Division One.

The winners will entertain Whitby Town in the next round.

Ramsbottom United do not enter the competition until the first qualifying round in a fortnight’s time, when they travel to Buxton.

Instead tomorrow they are in Evo-Stik Premier Division action as they travel to FC United, who this season include former Accrington Stanley forward Craig Lindfield in their ranks.

The match will take place at Stalybridge Celtic’s Bower Fold while FC United wait to move into their own stadium in north Manchester.

In Conference North, Chorley host Brackley Town after picking up an encouraging eight points from their opening five games since making the step up from the Evo-Stik League.

Northamptonshire side Brackley have won only one league match so far.

In the North West Counties Premier Division, Colne travel to Alsager Town after a 1-0 defeat at Silsden on Wednesday night.

Nelson travel to Bootle, while Barnoldswick Town are also on the road as they face St Helens Town. Bacup and Rossendale Borough have no game this weekend.

AFC Darwen are away to Chadderton in the First Division.
