HISTORY repeated itself as title contenders Fulledge Colts and Langho Juniors went head to head and battled out another draw.

In the first meeting between the sides at Northcote earlier in the season, the teams fought out an entertaining 2-2 draw and it was the same scoreline in the return fixture on the 3G pitch at Burnley College.

Fulledge dominated possession in the first half of the East Lancs Football Alliance encounter but didn’t cause Will Wrathhall much trouble in the Langho goal.

And it was Langho who broke the deadlock, scoring late in the half to take the lead. Ben Harltey whipped in a great free kick which was partially cleared and Josh Tetley was on hand to smash the loose ball home.

The goal sparked a great end to the first half for Langho as they worked harder to press the ball and stop Fulledge playing there brilliant football.

In the second half, Fulledge made a substitute and he caused the Langho defence all sorts of trouble and he was rewarded 10 mintues in to the second half with a goal after taking it around the Langho goalkeeper.

And five minutes later, Fulledge took the lead after a mix up between the goal keeper and centre half, the striker nipped between them both and slotted the ball home.

The game looked to be over but the Langho boys dug in and on the 70th minute Mark Max Cane headed the ball towards the back post and Josh Tetley was there again to tap it in.

Both sides had chances to win it in the closing 10 minutes. Fulledge were very impressive with the football they displayed but the point for Langho keeps them in the hunt for the league title.

Fulledge Colts, who have lost just once all season, currently sit top of the table with 24 points from their 11 games.

Langho are seventh 15 points behind but if they win their games in hand will be just three points behind the leaders.

Mill Hill Juniors are second place - just three points behind Fulledge Colts - after beating Lammack Juniors 3-1.

And in the only other game in survive the weather in the division, third-placed Badgers beat Huncoat United 2-1 thanks to two goals from Alfie Cook.
