ANCHOR are the new leaders at the top of the Blackburn Combination Premier League following an emphatic victory over Islington while long -time leaders Hole I’th Wall slipped to a shock defeat against Rishon United.
The new leaders hold a narrow one point lead at the top after picking up there ninth win in 15 games this season.
Hole I’th WalL, who have three games in hand over Anchor, went down 4-1 to lowly Rishton.
In Division Two, Cabin End and Euro Garages continued their dual for the title after they both enjoyed big victories.
Leaders Cabin End beat Whalley Range 8-0 to stay three points clear of second placed Euro Garages who beat Blackburn Eagles 5-0 to move 12 ahead of Darwen Alex.
Blackburn United Reserves won their first game of the season after the bottom of the table side beat the Lion 4-1.
