GARY Bowyer is hopeful David Dunn will play again before the end of the season – which could be his last at Blackburn Rovers.
Injury means the fans’ favourite has not featured since January 24 but, while Dunn will not return for tonight’s Ewood Park clash against Millwall, he has a chance of being fit for the trip to Huddersfield Town on Saturday or the final game of the campaign at home to Ipswich Town on May 2.

Rovers boss Bowyer said of the midfielder: “He was out on the grass on Friday and joined in with us for a little bit and we certainly hope he’ll feature before the end of the season.”
Dunn is out of contract in the summer and, asked whether the midfielder, 35, will get a new deal, Bowyer said: “We’ve got to sit down with the owners and discuss where we’re going.
“The embargo will have a massive effect on what we can do in the summer so David falls into that category with the other (out of contract) players as well.”
