BLACKBURN Rovers have announced a full price freeze on season tickets for the 2015-16 campaign.

The club’s decision comes ahead of the final game of the 2014-15 Championship season at home to Ipswich Town tomorrow (12.15pm).

Rovers director of communications Alan Myers said: “The team have received superb support from the stands all season and I know that it is greatly appreciated by manager Gary Bowyer and all the players.

“None more so was this evident than at the FA Cup quarter-final replay against Liverpool. It was great to see a packed Ewood Park absolutely rocking and the players really responded with a magnificent performance on the pitch.

“It is therefore only right that we reward our dedicated fans with a freeze on season ticket prices for next season.”

Rovers’ FA Cup quarter-final replay at home to Liverpool last month attracted the biggest Ewood Park crowd – a sold-out 28,415 – since May 2011 when a controversial Wayne Rooney penalty secured Manchester United’s record-breaking 19th top-flight crown.

Rovers’ average attendance in the Championship this season is 14,841.

Full ticket details will be released in the coming days.
