WELL done Burnley. We are back in the Premier League and what a journey it has been!

It is a magnificent achievement to return at the first time of asking and Sean Dyche and the squad deserve enormous credit.

The fans as well have been brilliant. They have played their part, especially in recent weeks, and on Monday they were brilliant again. They deserve to enjoy these celebrations.

It was great that Sam Vokes got the goal that clinched promotion considering he missed out on the last few weeks of the season two years ago with that cruciate knee ligament injury.

He deserved to relive this moment and be a part of it on the pitch this time around and what a memory he has made for years to come.

There have been a lot of comparisons with the promotions of this year and 2013/14 and I think this one just edges it for me.

I think Burnley are certainly a better unit this time around than they were two years ago, and that gives them a great chance to staying in the Premier League next season.

I hope Dyche gets some good money to spend this summer to strengthen the squad. The club have worked hard to put themselves in a strong financial position and they now have a real opportunity to take advantage of the money on offer in the Premier League next year.

It’s off to Charlton now and I really hope Burnley can finish the job and win the title. I would dearly love them to do so.

There is no doubt in my mind they will get the job done. There will be a big Clarets following down there and it could be another memorable day. Hopefully the protests from Charlton fans against their owner won’t cause too much disruption.

What a day it was for football mon Monday with Leicester City winning the title as well. What an unbelievable achievement that is. I am so happy for Claudio Ranieri and his team.

I think it shows just how wide open the Premier League can be now. Leicester were one of the favourites to be relegated from the top flight and they have gone and won the title.

Incredible.

Hopefully Burnley can take inspiration from that.

They might not win the title but they can survive in the top flight next season.
