BURNLEY are set to agree to Liverpool's request to move their Premier League fixture on the second weekend of the season from Anfield to Turf Moor.

The Reds wrote to Burnley asking them to switch the fixture with development work taking place on Anfield's Main Stand all summer.

Although Liverpool were confident it would all be sorted in time for the match on August 20, they wanted to play their first three games of the season on the road to give them time to sort out any issues that may arise from the work.

The switch means the Clarets start their Premier League return with two consecutive home games, with Swansea the visitors on the opening day of the campaign, and five of their first seven league games are at Turf Moor.

It means Sean Dyche's side will face Liverpool at Anfield on March 11 with a run of four successive away games in February and March.
