STANLEY manager John Coleman has told fans to expect more arrivals at the Wham Stadium in the next few weeks.

The Reds have already captured the services of goalkeepers Aaron Chapman and Elliot Parish, defender Omar Beckles and midfielder Bastien Hery.

But the boss expects more new faces through the door as he looks to replace the players who have departed after last season's play-off disappointment.

He said: “It is a major overhaul, but we are slowly but surely getting the pieces into place and I think fans can expect more new signings within the next week or so.

“We’ve lost players that I didn’t expect to lose and players that are going to be difficult to replace, but we say that every year."

Coleman revealed that his team's achievements last season, and they manner in which got to within a whisker of League One football, means he's getting plenty of calls this summer.

He added: "I think with the style of football we play, we’re an attractive proposition for players to come and join.

“There are more players than ever available this summer and one of the big problems is sifting through them.

"You’ve got to take into consideration players you get offered and those that you seek out yourself.

“We’re getting calls from players now who have played against us wanting to come and play for us.

"It’s nice to be recognised that you’re playing the kind of football people want to play and hopefully we will get the right ones.

“You get a few eyebrows raised when you’re supposed to be on holiday and you’re constantly on the phone.

"I went to Dubai to visit my daughter and ended up on the phone, but that’s the nature of the job.

"You can’t rest on your laurels and you have to keep bringing players in.

“I’d like to have at least 18 signed by the time we return for pre-season.

"We’ve already got good players signed and if we can get more good players signed up then there can be exciting times ahead.”
