BURNLEY will play Swiss third division side FC Stade Nyonnais on Friday, July 15, as part of their pre-season training camp.

For the second year in a row the Clarets are heading to Évian-les-Bains in south eastern France, on the border with Switzerland, for some pre-season training.

The camp will begin on Monday, July 11, a week after pre-season begins at Gawthorpe, with the team returning on Saturday, July 16.

While they are there Sean Dyche's side will play their first friendly of pre-season on the penultimate day of the camp.

The clash with FC Stade Nyonnais, who lost their second tier status in 2012 following a reshuffle of the football pyramid in Switzerland, will kick-off at 7.30pm local time at the 7,200-seater Stade de Colovray in Nyon, which is on the north western tip of Lake Geneva.

The semi-professional outfit play in the same league as last summer's friendly opponents, Étoile Carouge, who Burnley beat 2-1 thanks to goals from Lukas Jutkiewicz and George Boyd.

FC Stade Nyonnais will also play host to Sunderland and Sporting Lisbon as part of their respective pre-season campaigns.

Admission to the game will be 15 Swiss Francs for adults (around £10), 10 Swiss Francs for over 60s (£7.10) and free for under 16s.

The game is the fifth pre-season friendly to be announced by Burnley so far.

After their return from France they will face Morecambe at the Globe Arena on Tuesday, July 19 (7.30pm), Bradford City at Valley Parade on Saturday, July 23 (3pm), Bolton at the Macon Stadium on Tuesday, July 26 (8pm) and Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday, July 30 (3pm).

Their is likely to be one final pre-season friendly, to be played at Turf Moor against foreign opposition, on Saturday, August 6, but that is yet to be confirmed.
