BLACKBURN Rovers boss Owen Coyle has hailed his side’s wonderful winner at Derby County on Saturday as a ‘goal of the season contender’.
Super-sub Danny Graham cooly slotted home at the end of a 25-pass move, which started with goalkeeper Jason Steele’s kick downfield, to seal a terrific 2-1 triumph that leaves Rovers in high spirits for tomorrow’s home clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
And after the iPro Stadium success Coyle said: “The second goal was probably a contender for goal of the season.
“The goal was all about what we are trying to do; pass and move, take on players, be brave at the right time, be pleasing on the eye.
“It was such a wonderful team goal culminating in a fantastic finish from Danny Graham.
“If you look back at that as a Blackburn Rovers supporter I think you can see that’s a decent team trying to play the right way.”
