INJURED QPR trio Lyndon Dykes, Lee Wallace and Sam McCallum could all return against Rovers this weekend.

Dykes – who has scored 13 goals in 34 games this season - has missed the Hoops’ last two matches after suffering a minor knock in training, while Wallace has been sidelined by a groin issue.

Meanwhile, Norwich loanee McCallum hasn’t featured since October after having surgery to repair a torn hamstring.

“They could be very close, they’ve just got to be looked at. A game every three or four days is going to have consequences, but they’re close,” he told West London Sport.

“(Dykes) just took a knock. He took a knock to, how can I describe it, a certain area. But he’s okay and he’s not far away.

“(McCallum) has had three games, he’s in a good place and he’s ready for selection now.”

The London club are up to third in the Championship table following Wednesday night’s 2-1 win against Blackpool.

Warburton was delighted with their performance against the Seasiders and feels it could be a big result in their season.

“The sending-off changes everything in terms of the dynamic of the game. The boys dug in in the second half,” he added.

“The boys responded – and it’s those moments that can galvanise a team and a club in an important season.

“Everyone would have expected us after the equaliser to be hanging on for the last five minutes, but they showed their quality.

“We’re not a team that can just sit back and try to defend, we’re at our best on the front foot. And that was the message at half-time, to stay on the front foot.”
