Rovers have allowed defender Dan Pike to join AFC Fylde on loan.

Pike will spend the remainder of the season with the National League North side in what will be his third spell at Mill Farm.

The 21-year-old returns to the club where he played 24 times, across two spells, during the 2021/22 season.

He will stay with Adam Murray’s side until Sunday, April 30, although there is an option to extend the deal should the Coasters be involved in the play-offs.

They currently sit in second place in the National League North, level on points with table-topping King's Lynn Town but with a game in hand on the Norfolk-based side.

It has been a difficult season for Pike to date, having only just returned from an injury that sidelined him for five months.

The right back has made four Under-21s appearances since returning from injury last month, and will now look to kick his career on after making the loan switch to the Fylde coast.

He said: “I’m excited to be back at the club and looking forward to helping the team as much as I can over the next couple of months as we look to win the league.

“Since my last loan spell here, I suffered an injury that kept me out for around five months, but now I just can’t wait to get going.”

Pike is yet to make his senior debut for Rovers, but has been involved in matchday squads previously.

He is approaching 50 appearances for Rovers Under-21s, having graduated through the Academy.

His contract at Ewood Park expires this summer, though the club do have the option to extend by a further 12 months.
