Blackburn Rovers' Under-21s were knocked out of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup as Bolton Wanderers B came from behind to win 2-1.

Semir Telalovic played the full 90 minutes for Mike Sheron's side as he continues to build his match sharpness with opportunities limited at first-team level.

The Blackburn Rovers summer signing had a few sights at goal, firing wide one-vs-one and then being denied by Trotters goalkeeper Luke Hutchinson.

Tom Bloxham did find a breakthrough on the half-hour mark, finishing inside the area after Telalovic had been well challenged. The forward found himself on the bench against Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend and he will want to impress Tomasson with the injuries mounting up.

Bolton rallied though and turned the match around in the second half. Finley Lockett latched on to a long ball from the goalkeeper and shrugged off the challenge to make it 1-1 and fire past Jordan Eastham.

Bolton then led through captain Matthew Tweedley as he finished impressively after a strong run and cross down their right-hand side.

Sheron's side pressed for an equaliser but Hutchinson repelled efforts from Jake Batty and Bloxham to ensure Wanderers' progression into the next round.
