ROSSENDALE chairman Steve Hobson insists one more victory will be enough to see the Stags avoid relegation – after Phil Eastwood’s side yesterday drew 1-1 against Lancaster City at Dark Lane.

The Stags dominated their UniBond Division One (North) fixture, which saw former Chorley manager Tony Hesketh return to East Lancashire with the Dolly Blues, but missed out on snatching all three points.

Lancaster took the lead on the stroke of half-time through Rob Wilson.

But Rossendale deservedly levelled with less than 10 minutes to go with Phil Denny on the scoresheet.

Sitting just one place and four points clear of bottom club Salford City with two games remaining, the Stags are still not safe of relegation.

But Hobson said: “We won’t go down – we’ll get that win.

“The lads are dying for the cause at the moment – throwing everything they’ve got.

“We just need a bit more luck at the moment.”
